Commish - Beware the Grinch

Commission made for ashenbach , featuring his original creature inspired by the initial meaning of the word, "grinching", referring to a harsh, rasping noise. They are meant to be the inspiration for Dr. Seuss' Grinch character.

"These creatures exist to - and gain power from - detecting what items mean most to a person and then stealing them. Once they have the beloved item in their hands, the grinches "soak up" all of the person's focus, love, and adoration for the item, basically making it useless. Grinches live at the periphery of human society and can often be found haunting places like landfills, trash heaps and midden mounds, where they cast off their stolen items when they are done with them." ~ Ashenbach

Due to the dark and mildewy environments that they haunt, grinches are often carpeted in an advanced form of green mold, giving them the appearance of being covered in fur. This was an excellent idea and I had a lot of fun executing it - good thinking, Ashenbach. ;]
