Don't Turn Me Down by Harseik Don't Turn Me Down by Harseik
Kon-El / Superboy from the radical 90's. He's so precious and full of himself and aghdffklsjdgsf, he needs to take up more of my gallery. I think I'm gonna get ready to dive into the Suberboy comics that took place during his escapades in Hawaii. The fact that he's friends with a conman just makes it for me.

But gawd is his outfit so freaking stupid. What is he holding up with that leg strap? NOTHING. NOTHIIINNNG. Okay, I kid. It's one of my favorites outfits (and hairdos) ever. I seriously wish I had his gloves.

My intent was to draw him like he was challenging somebody, but it looks as if he just watched Robin someone fall on their face and is being really fabulous about it. Or he's dancing to *NSYNC's "Bye Bye Bye", I 'unno.

I had to shrink this image soooo much and the detail did not transfer well. No one will be able to see all the work I put into the lineart. I did detailed zippers and belts and everything. ;_; Take my word for it, I guess. I'm always up for anatomy tips and redline critiques, as per usual (full body images are things I always have issues with).

Thank you for giving the Metropolis Kid a view! <3

PS: HAR-APPROVED SUPERBOY THEME SONG: [link] Don't lie to me. It's perfect.

Man, the 90's were a blast. Characters were happy, I could afford to buy comics, and airports were only mildly annoying.

This is one of those comics where I wish there was a thumbs up feature on dA.

Haha, yeah
And I think I figured out the leg strap: the equipment used to clone him partially consisted tech scavenged from Dr. Frank N Furter's lab, thus hardwiring a fondness for garters and light bondage (two belts?) into his genes.

... HUH. That's a new way to think about it. I might just have to remember that for projects in the future, because it'd be beautiful if he could make a comeback while being relatively intact, style-wise. That'd be a good answer to the radical 90's garb. xD

"This look will never go out of style!", is what he is saying.

I like the dancing option because it just seems so silly! And the Superboy I'm familiar with (Young Justice) would never do that! And that that song was a part of my childhood.
