Aquadeeeerp derpa derp derp derp derp deeeeerrrrrrrp.
Guys. Guys I think I'm getting better at this whole anatomy business. It really pays to practice everyday. Though the reason why the hand doesn't look good is because I haven't gone through a hand-drawing marathon yet, like I did with feet yesterday. I'm pretty sure feet are my friends now. They ain't so bad once you realize what kind of shape they take.
I drew her a while back ([link]
), albeit with horrendous proportions, lol. But just in case you don't want to click on the image and see what the deal is, this is Avery Curry, aka Aqua, and she's a gender-bent version of Aquaman that I made up one day while listening to cool Audiomachine stuff.
She's trying to be cute for yoooouuuu. I really love Aquachick. >< She's been nothing but kind to me. She gives me a strange amount of muse for being a girl character based off of Arthur Curry. I've been thinking for a while that maybe I should just replace her with a legit character, like Mera, Tula, or Dolphin, to avoid nerd rage in my upcoming fancomic... but... Avery's really grown on me. Hopefully I'll get some people to appreciate her as long as she is written well. You can do it, lady fishstick!
Yey, better markings. I got the pattern idea from an octopus image somewhere on the Internet. If a character is gonna be Atlantean, they're gonna be amphibious-looking, good dern it. I still don't know if I want to put the pattern somewhere on her face though. Maybe it'll just be on the forehead, I dunno. Still playing with it.
PS: Don't be mad when I make fun of Aquaman, because I do respect the character. He's just fun to pick on. It's tradition now.
