I. Won't. Stop. Conjuring. COMIC IDEAS. I blame someone other than me. And my sister.
The dark-haired girl is one of my friend's OCs that I'd have cameo.
Yeah, Silym and I want Bruce in Smallville. So hard. We will forever believe in our own little imaginary world in which Adam Knight was Bruce Wayne. He didn't die, I tell you. He simply waited for Lionel to leave so he could make his ESCAPE. Yeah...
Anyway, this is a mix between a fan comic and an original comic (lol, wait, DC charas aren't original). Many of the character designs will not be looking the same (for instance, Lana will look a lot like her comic counterpart, and the Kents will have original designs), peoples' personalities will be more comic book-ish (geek Clark, ftw Dx), there will be less mopey teenager drama, the timeline will be messed with heavily, a much earlier intro to Lois, and of course, the appearance of Bruce Wayne. A lot more stuff will be altered to Sil and my liking because Smallville isn't as traditional as I would like, and also because we CAN. >D
Hmm, I guess the only things that point to the Smallville show would be the presence of Chloe Sullivan (best OC ever), Lex Luthor's residency, Lionel Luthor, and some material like the meteor shower, Veritas, SV High's setup, and other cool stuffs that added nice touches to the Superman universe.
Now... I'm not sure if this will be the comic I will pursue. It doesn't feel... original enough for me, I guess? I dunno. I'll seeeee, because I still have other ideas to play with - like a teenage version of the JLA (hohoheehee) or a universe that lacks costume identities (civilian identities would be the focus). Not sure yet! If you have any preferences or cool ideas or something, it'd be beautiful if you could put them in a comment. Or... not. You probably wouldn't comment even if you did have an idea. I know you people.
Thanks for viewing, guys! Love ya!
PS: Ooooh, forgot. Bruce has a dark skintone because we like the idea of Bruce being Greek. Yes. C:
Bruce can just have that skin tone because... he went to the beach (?) Lol, anyways, I love your art *-* I don't care what it is, it's so freaking awesome :3 I'll check out some more cool stuff!
I love your art work its some of the most beautiful on deviantart, and I wonder why you haven't drawn a picture of Chloe cause that'd be pretty kick-a// in my opinion but anywho great job
And I agree, as many things they got wrong (such as their handling of Jor-El and the Clark/Lana relationship, poor epic fails to varying degrees ), the things they got right make it so worth it. Chloe (<3), Lex, Lionel, metoer-shower, Veritas (even though, for obvious reasons, we didn't get to see more of them D: ), the way they developed Clark's abilities (it was actually quite interesting to see him not-quite-invulnerable in the first season), the school...bottom line, I agree completely.
And Smallville!Bruce and (what? I mean, just because they're never seen in the same room together...) Smallville!Batman would have been awesome.
(Poor Adam. I liked Lana with him more than I ever did her with Clark. :/)
"Ladies and gentlemen--my Batman voice." LOL
Potential "cool idea": Clark using his superspeed a lot smarter. Because, really, how many times did he lose fights to meteor-freaksinfected-individuals because he didn't think to superspeed???
...Although, a "no secret identities" 'verse would be interesting.
Gaaaah, someone who agrees with me. I so love you. D; I was sad when I was introduced to the turbo jerkiness that was Jor-El. He's a computer - sure - but if he was just a little more understanding, Clark wouldn't have gone off on so many rebellious stoopid-sprees (and my point has been proven now that he deactivated Jor-El in the most recent ep). Tough love is healthy only when it's executed correctly. D< Lana... uuuugh. I really wish they handled her differently. Her talent at irritation knew no bounds. I enjoyed her character in the first season though. Back when everything and everyone was so simple. Lol
As for Clark's superspeed, I always thought he was "too" fast. Getting from Smallville to Metro in like ten seconds - holy crap, how does he have problems fighting meteor freaks? Dx I would drastically tone him down in my comic. That way I can use your idea and have him use his speed without being invincible.
Stiiill not sure what I'd do for a comic. I think I might be leaning towards a teen JLA. That way it could be Smallville-esque and I'd be able to draw eeeeeeverybody. ;D Plus I have some retarded ideas for Diana / Clark interaction, since my version of Di is very naive and lacks worldly etiquette. xP
Wooow, you really put me on a tangent there. Thanks. Ahaha. You're awesome for stopping by.
Yeah, it's weird. The first episodes I saw were Season Six (? I think? I know for sure one of the very first episodes was "Crimson"--lol what an episode to get someone interested in the show lol), but I only started watching at Season Eight. I already hated Lana from what I saw in Season Seven. About...two years ago, I think?...I got Season One on DVD (and soon others--now I just need Seasons Nine and Ten! ), and I was like "Woah. I don't hate her here! I still don't ship Clark/Lana, but hey, she was actually likeable!" XD
...But then I started watching Season Two and I was like "CLARK. I KNOW YOU/CHLOE ISN'T CANON AND NEVER WILL BE, BUT WHYYYY????" and then "WHY DID THEY KILL WHITNEY OFF AND WHY HAVE WE SUDDENLY FORGOTTEN ABOUT HIM???". ;_;
Yeah, I agree about Jor-El. I was actually glad Clark shut the Fortress down...though I would've been happier if he had gotten the suit first. Obviously he didn't notice it was there!
I much preferred earlier seasons because he was slower and it was more dramatic that way. Made it more likely he would fail to save someone (though of course that never really happened ), you know? And I preferred the bullet-time scenes when things only moved in slow-motion rather than "complete standstill other than bullets" like these days. For example, "Craving"'s superspeed scene at the party. XD
Actually, I like the idea of speedsters seeing things in slo-mo cool, period. Explains why they never rarely run into things, anyway. Obviously something went wrong in "Fortune" when Clark was recovering from that hangover. XD I seriously LOLed when he crashed into the wall and fell over.
Teen JLA would be SWEEET. :3 LOL you'll have to set it outside of Smallville because I don't see ALL the teen!heroes transferring to Smallville High.
...Actually, I CAN imagine that, and the mental image is hilarious. XD I could just see Clark trying to keep everything under control. Or maybe they could all end up at some high school in Metropolis. With "possibly"-evil Principal Luthor, of course.
<COMPLETELY SUBTLE HINT> I'd like to see more characters from this AU. That's be cool! </COMPLETELY SUBTLE HINT>
LOL tangent is a funny word 8D
TWO MORE DAYS before he finally puts on the damn suit!!! the finale! Yay!
Even bigger tangent, AHOY. Crimson was your first episode? xD Really?! I'm sorry. If an ep like that was my first impression of the show I'm not sure I'd be watching it currently. LoL My first was actually the pilot episode in season one. Still my favorite. So much awesome packed into one meager hour. <3 And Lana is the WORST Season 3 and onwards. I'm so glad she was written out. Besides, Clois foreveeeeer.
Dude, our similarities are striking. I... LOVED WHITNEY. Heaven forbid a show introduces a jock that goes through such amazing character development, then they go and kill em off because he's competition for Clark. DDDX Clark and Chloe was real sweet though, I'll admit. <3
Lols, I can see it now. Clark: "I'm sorry dad, but... can I have my suit now. I know I double-crossed you en all--" Jor-El: "Ha no." Clark: "Pleeeaaaasssse? D;" Jor-El: "..." Clark: *Sliding down crystal glass.* "Noooooo. Dx" *Queenie tantrum*
Viewing the world in slo-mo is the only way to really explain a speedster's dexterous maneuvers. Supposedly people see things in slow motion when their adrenaline's pumping, so that makes total sense to me. :] I totally loved it when he was grabbing the popcorn bowl for his classmate and the popcorn was fluttering down in slow motion. xD Preeetty. Plus, him dodging a bullet for the first time in "Rogue", t'was awesome-sauce, and the bullet was actually moving at a good clip for him so he barely dodged it.
I laughed right along with you in Fortune. It was so random, Silym and I busted out laughing. xP That and the Dr. Lemur part. Clark's always been pretty clever with naming things.
Teen JLA would most likely not take place in Smallville, but in a city setting (even though a rural area would be waaay easier to illustrate, but oh well, heheh). The Kents, due to the costs being too high for running the farm, would be forced to sell it and move to an urban environment. It would toootally be sad to draw, but hopefully they'd buy it back later. Still working on how the others manage to wind up in the same city though. Or I'll chalk it up to FATE. 8O
Clark has always been one of the most grounded characters of the JLA, so I definitely see him trying to keep people like Wally and Bruce in line and encouraging sanity. Pfffft. Yeah, they're all gonna go to the same high school, coz it fuuuun. I'mma insert Lex into it all. Somehow. Dx
"Crimson was your first episode? xD Really?! I'm sorry. If an ep like that was my first impression of the show I'm not sure I'd be watching it currently. LoL" Aww, don't be like that. I loved that episode. XD I love all RedK episodes, actually. Now that I think about it more, I think "Bizarro" S7 premiere was the first episode I watched from start to finish...I dunno'. I can't remember clearly.
"My first was actually the pilot episode in season one. Still my favorite. So much awesome packed into one meager hour. <3" Agreed. I wish Al and Miles had written more episodes. Some of my all-time favourites involved . (Well, except maybe the Season Two finale.)
"And Lana is the WORST Season 3 and onwards. I'm so glad she was written out. Besides, Clois foreveeeeer." You continue to speak trufax. <3
"Dude, our similarities are striking. I... LOVED WHITNEY." Yeah, I kind-of took him for granted. I didn't realize I had become a Whitney fan until he, you know, left.
"Heaven forbid a show introduces a jock that goes through such amazing character development, then they go and kill em off because he's competition for Clark." IKR?!
"DDDX Clark and Chloe was real sweet though, I'll admit. <3" Oh, what could have been...I'm actually surprised it never actually happened, considering the fact they outright stated Chloe was a Lois Lane "precursor"/whatever. They could have been together for a few seasons, at least...?
"Lols, I can see it now. Clark: "I'm sorry dad, but... can I have my suit now. I know I double-crossed you en all--" Jor-El: "Ha no." Clark: "Pleeeaaaasssse? D;" Jor-El: "..." Clark: *Sliding down crystal glass.* "Noooooo. Dx" *Queenie tantrum*" <- LOL I can't see Clark act so childish...at least, not the past few years, anyway. XD I almost miss his more innocent days...back when he didn't give up on anyone. *cough*Lex*cough*
"Viewing the world in slo-mo is the only way to really explain a speedster's dexterous maneuvers. Supposedly people see things in slow motion when their adrenaline's pumping, so that makes total sense to me. :] Actually, I think that's been MYTHBUSTED. But hey, it makes sense for Clark--he's not human. As for human speedsters like Flash/Impulse/Kid Flash/etc., err...oh, what the heck, who cares? They're superheroes! Real science has no place there! XD
"I totally loved it when he was grabbing the popcorn bowl for his classmate and the popcorn was fluttering down in slow motion. xD Preeetty. Yeah, that was surprisingly well done for the first season. I'm just glad most of them were probably drunk (OMGUNDERAGEDRINKING) or so distracted by Awesome Party Tiems to notice the blur!
"Plus, him dodging a bullet for the first time in "Rogue", t'was awesome-sauce, and the bullet was actually moving at a good clip for him so he barely dodged it. Oh yeah, "Rogue" was one of my favourite episodes EVER, 'specially that scene. <3 Judging by a few episodes later in "Hug", it was a good thing he managed to dodge! HAHA, I just remembered his expression as he watched the bullet fly by...
You know, when I was rewatching Season One a while ago, I realized they somehow made him look quite young for the first few episodes (he was tall, but something made me believe he could actually be fifteen...sure, fifteen-year-old Superman, but still). It's like they stopped trying at some point mid-season one or so...
I loved that episode for the first example of a non-metahuman enemy (unless you count Lionel, but he wasn't that involved in the first season--as far as we knew, at least--or Lex, but he wasn't exactly evil yet), too. The bus at the beginning was a nice little nod to one of the previous tv shows...Lois&Clark, I believe?
Interesting and slightly random thought: It would have been interesting if Clark had met Lois back then. XD Hey, I hear there was a 30s/40s story where they met as teenagers (Daily Planet internships or somethin' FTW), so I don't know why people complain about them meeting earlier than most continuities. >_>
"I laughed right along with you in Fortune. It was so random, Silym and I busted out laughing. xP That and the Dr. Lemur part. Clark's always been pretty clever with naming things. LOL I think that was Clark introducing the monkey to Hamilton, actually. XD I know for sure there was a Doctor Who reference (intentional or no?):
Clark: Lemur, this is the doctor [Hamilton]... Chloe: "Who?"
Haha. I loved that episode, and I didn't RAEG over Chloe's departure like I did Lex's and Kara's previously. It was actually done pretty well, and the Chloe/Clark friendshippiness made me so happy. Especially all the stupid stuff through Seasons Eight 'n' Nine between them. *sigh*
"Teen JLA would most likely not take place in Smallville," awww... LOL oh well XD "but in a city setting (even though a rural area would be waaay easier to illustrate, but oh well, heheh)." Haha, I understand. At least you have mad skillz. XD I'm just a lowly fanfic writer! *dodges fruit thrown at head*
"The Kents, due to the costs being too high for running the farm, would be forced to sell it and move to an urban environment." D: OMG SADNESS. Although, some Kent bonding would be nice to see, after years of missing it in Smallville. <3

Or I'll chalk it up to FATE. 8O" Hey, it works in Smallville (paraphrasing pretty much everyone in Smallville ever: "DAMMIT CLARK JUST FULFILL YOUR DESTINY ALREADY. *smacks him with a Kryptonite rock")!
"Clark has always been one of the most grounded characters of the JLA, so I definitely see him trying to keep people like Wally and Bruce in line and encouraging sanity. Pfffft. Yeah, they're all gonna go to the same high school, coz it fuuuun." Awesome.
"I'mma insert Lex into it all. Somehow. Dx" "Yo BrainIAC, I'mma let you finish, but LEX LUTHOR IS THE BIGGEST BIG BAD FOR SUPERMAN, OF ALL TIME! OF. ALL. TIME!" /obligatoryKanyememereference
"Your hint was so subtle I barely noticed it! o o" Really? Because I thought it was--I-I mean...um...wh-what hint? I d-d-don't know what you're talkin' about...nope...not at all...*runs away laughing evilly*
"FINALE YAAAY. Oh no, Smallville's ovaaaaaa. *Sob* <- My reaction if I think about it too much. ;_;
ADsgf, I don't care if this is a late comment sonce I'm just so happy I'm not the only one who wants Bruce in Smallville <3
I think all of the ideas sounds GREAT, and this one just made me gesngkesngkldnj... And that's a good reaction.
Also the designs are also kehglehgöreö, by that I mean perfect since you can tell who they are but they're MORE or someting? Anyways, love it and whatever idea you go for. I'll be HAPPY!!
My teen version of Bruce really likes to take the whole "spoiled rich kid" gig pretty far by flaunting his expensive possessions and pretending he's all that and a bag of chips in front of the SH student body. It's essentially a cover-up though. He likes being underestimated. He's a fun guy to write for and illustrate.
Lol, anyways, I love your art *-* I don't care what it is, it's so freaking awesome :3 I'll check out some more cool stuff!
