I'll never be able to stop drawing him. Neveeeeeer. Dx This HAS to be worse than my Vegeta phase.

But this particular design is actually for something. Hehe. An RPG that has been going strong for a month, called Accolade. [link]

"Dive into ACCOLADE: a DC roleplay taking place in an original alternate universe of our making. Enter in at a time where the existence of super-criminals are on the rise, making it their pleasure to shake the very foundations of America. There are those citizens who preserve faith, though “super-heroes” are believed to be nothing more than comic book fiction… or so people think. Now is the time for the exceptional men and women of the world - however young - to take up their mantles and bring hope back to the nation, even though living a normal life by day and battling your enemies by night is thoroughly demanding. Whether you're a hero or a villain, your destiny is clear. The question is - will you answer the call? Or will you run from it?"

And yes, it's free to join. :] I play the Big Blue Cheese over there, so I wanted to design an original costume for him. I was a big fan of this look ([link]) that FocusAbby conjured up back in 2004. Particularly the coat idea in place of the cape. Now MIND you avid Supes-fans, I happen to love the cape, but not only is Clark a mere 25 years old and under a different moniker currently, since he has yet to really become the "Superman", this design serves as a predecessor to the cape. Plus I wanted to be a bit more creative since I've already rehashed Supes' traditional costume a gazillion times.

Aaaand, I tried real hard not to put briefs on him, but I'm way too traditional of a girl (and I like them. :]) so I at least gave them a cameo. I figured since he was younger here he wouldn't be as flashy as his older self, who doesn't give a flying monkey if his outfit is hip or not coz he can pummel you into submission with his little finger anyway. xD

And my intention was NOT to make him look hip or cool in order to satisfy contemporary tastes. Superman should never look trendy in my opinion. He's ABOVE trendy, man.

Putting the blue briefs on makes the belt-loops look more logical and practical.
Love the Capt. Kirk "wraparound casual tunic" effect on the boots.
This actually looks much more like futuristic street clothes, instead of an ensemble he'd have to duck into a phone booth to change into.

Thank you so much for letting me know what you think about this one too. I think you pointed out all of the details I personally thought were fun about this concept. I might revamp this in the near future. I'll just have to see if I'm willing to revive the trenchcoat again. You have a good one. <3

I like how he's not absolutely CHUNKED up with rippling muscles, he's just a fairly slim average looking guy. With the red coat, maybe channelling a bit of Devil May Cry's Dante? =P Great vision.
