Firesiders Music?
Congruency in music can happen very easily when you're dealing with overwhelmingly popular themes like "fire", "gamers rise up", and "together we are stronk" in your story. Additionally, anything that mentions deserts, storms, light in the dark, trials, scars, burning, armor, memories, warriors/war, Christian iconography, and struggling against adversity, I'm all like: "The radio people are speaking to me." There's an extinct doo-wop band called "The Firesiders". That's so magical. I bookended the playlist with two of their pieces and I would argue the 144p quality is an aesthetic. Collected for posterity's sake, the following is my "So Relevant that I Suspect Psychic Copyright Infringement" music list. YouTube playlist for easy listening. Commissions Closed
Commissions are officially open! Head over to my submission dedicated to the subject. A few changes to consider are efforts to make my business more centralized around a my website, a new email address (DHendersonArt@outlook.com), new prices, and heck - even a new render style. I have several people here on dA who have tried to contact me during my hiatus, as well as clients with reservations they've been hanging onto for almost a year. In most cases it's been forever and a half, so if there's a chance that any of those individuals are still interested in doing business, I warmly invite you to reestablish contact. Definitely mulling over a discount to celebrate the reopening - stay tuned in! I'd like to keep the personal update short and sweet because let's face it - stuff's boring, but let's jump into it. For the past year I was working at a movie theater in Odessa, Texas. I had a great experience there, but due to the city-wide over surplus of jobs that aren't related to oil, I
A Quick Update (Moved Again, and a Job)!
Things have certainly changed since last we talked, ladies and gentlemen. I have left Presidio and gave chase to the oil rush in Midland, TX. Mind you, I'm not swol enough to take up an oil field job, but because of the mass migration of workers into the area, which has temporarily increased the population, the city is hurting for employees in virtually every level of business imaginable. You can't go 20 feet without seeing the words "now hiring" printed on a window or billboard somewhere. As you can imagine, this was the perfect opportunity to snag a part-time gig. Cinergy Cinemas has accepted my application as a concessions team member (alw
Hanging Out in the Lone Star State
Success! I made it to Texas, now residing in a small town located on the border called "Presidio".
It is just a darling little place, and the weather is actually milder here than Yuma (THANK THE LORD). And when I say "small town", I mean so small that the next Starbucks is about a hundred miles away. This is cattle country, my dudes. But... man oh man, am I loving the scenery and the locals. Monumental mountains, wheat-colored plains, and cowboys - it's a perfect mixture of majestic desert and rustic Midwestern charm. Smashing towns like Marfa and Alpine are a short roadtrip away as well, so at least I can stretch my legs. I've only been her
