I think rather oppositely. I believe the power of God is more potent than a million laborers. It is thorough, absolute, and beyond physical implications. Setting one's hand to work is a step toward change, but if the Lord isn't behind it, in the very end the deed will just be a breath in the wind.
I know this sounds foolish and whatnot, and I don't like to debate spirituality (so please don't think I'm picking a fight), but I figured you'd appreciate a response detailing my reasoning. :]

I'm sorry, but everytime I heard Mitt Romney, I thought "THIS IS LIKE PUTTING LEX LUTHOR INTO POWER". Kind of glad Lex isn't the president in our universe XD
