Rule one of webcomic making: character designs come first. But I'm so impatient. << But NOTHING, Har! Learn to treat your projects with respect!
Anyway, I thought these came out kind of cool, so I wanted to share prematurely~
The Mr. Kent identity was the funnest one. I got to use my face in a mirror as reference for his face-distorting technique. No, he's not supposed to look flattering. The glasses make his eyes look larger, distorts their shape, and makes their color appear gray due to lens tinting. I seriously tried to make that disguise as convincing as I could without him looking like a totally different character. I dunno if it'd fool people in real life, but I guess it works just fine in the DCU, so. xD That and he slouches, wears baggy, unflattering clothes, bends his posture outward to look more overweight, hides in plain sight... all that shizz. Ah, I think I talked about this before in an old submission somewhere. Never mind.
For Clark, turning into Superman is a simple act of pushing his hair back. Flying all quick-like over the city probably helps to facilitate this windswept hair style too! The reason why the Clark and Superman identities look similar is because his 'natural' identity isn't exactly public domain, as it is reserved for his family and other Heroes.
So far, so good. C: Thank you for taking a look.
